VIDEO AND PERFORMANCE
The artist scatters foam butterflies (see image) on a wall. The performer’s movements are guided by music. Where the wall ends the performer leaves a butterfly at the feet of the musician, who then leaves the gallery. After the exit of the musician a video of butterflies begins with the music just played live by the musician as the soundtrack with interventions of electronic music and the sound of cicadas. The video is projected in a continuous cycle on the wall of the gallery and the butterflies left in the cracks of the wall are taken by curious passers-by over the course of the following days.
