Performance Linking Square 28 July 2004 Firenze

The performer places a curtain made by silk scarves in the middle of a Loggia and put on the floor in both of the two parts a largerice paper fixed by black sand. The curtain has a hole with the shape of the Ikebana triangle. The sound track is composed with electronic sounds and concrete sounds: rips, step, and wind. The performer comes in the squared space crossing over the other installation near by 365 Steps. She begins to walk through the loggia in different direction. Every time she crosses the curtain, she changes direction and speediness. The movement becomes more and more compulsive till when she suddenly stops and goes to take the Japanese box within the writing set placed on the suitcase that belongs to the other installation. The two performances are linked by the same reflection concerning vanity. She kneels and stars drowning the Ikebana triangle in both in the papers.
Around them she wrote the two different sentences: Any place is enough empty if the mind is full- (paper on the right of the curtain)
Any place is enough full if the mind is empty - (paper on the left of the curtain)
